I am weird when it comes to movies or tv series. At times I watch like there is no tomorrow, and I need to finish watching them. Binge-watching like that is the only thing I got to do. At times even the best of movies do not keep me hooked.
Kung Fu Panda series has been my all-time favorite in the list of a limited number of movies. A train of thoughts just passed by, and I remembered a quote from the movie Kung Fu Panda.
But wait.
Have you watched it? If you haven’t yet, you will do so after reading these awesome quotes from the movie.
It is an animated movie with a beautiful storyline and full of inspirational punchlines.
Here they go:
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift… that’s why they call it the present.” – Master Oogway
Let us begin with the quote that made me write this blog post. This is one of the best quotes. How important it is to live in the present, even the more now because you never know what is in store for the next minute.
“Your mind is like this water, my friend. When it gets agitated, it becomes difficult to see. But if you allow it to settle, the answer becomes clear.” –Master Oogway
When you are tensed, agitated or angry, never do anything important says my dad always. Master Oogway believes the same too. When you are not at peace, you tend to make mistakes. Often, irreparable. It’s okay to take the pause, reflect, put things on hold till you feel better and get back.
“You don’t need to meditate for hours and hours to attain inner peace and enlightenment. You need only see, feel, and act from the heart. Let the heart guide you to your peaceful enlightenment.” – Po
Meditation is for the soul and mind. But it does not mean you need to spend a lot of time on it. It is to focus on your breathing. Collecting your thoughts and trying to calm the mind that is chaos.
“Your real strength comes from being the best “you” you can be. So who are you? What are you good at? What do you love? What makes you “you”?” –Po
This quote always makes me feel better. When self-doubt creeps in, I read this. See how Po becomes the dragon warrior by being himself? In the times of social media, where everyone seems to be doing better, you don’t know what is actually happening. Everyone is fighting their own demons. So just be yourself and continue doing what makes you happy.
“Before the battle of the fist comes the battle of the mind… then the dramatic entrance”– Master Shifu
I have learned the hard way that how important it is to be focused and have a clear mind before we take up anything. Master your mind before anything else. The ability to stay calm during chaos is a superpower. We all possess intelligence and are smart, but it is essential to control our thoughts and emotions.
The pandemic has a toll on our mental health like no other. The virus is not only affecting our loved ones and taking them away from us, the after-effects are severe.
While the heart aches for human contact, fresh air, and a break from the rut that is more than a year now, it is wise to stay indoors and step out as little as possible.
I have begun to teach maths to kids and freelance for websites, corporate organizations, and the like. While traveling is on my mind every second, I am just trying to stay put and keep us all safe.
What is happening at your end? How are you keeping sane?

It was nice to find your blog as you have rolled me in Blogchatter :). My blog is a personal one where there is no fixed niche that I write on, rather it is kind of my own diary and I muse just about anything that interests me. I am also trying to be a freelancer creating content and writing for websites who need content creators. I love your blog. I have gone through your about section too. Hoping to connect more.
