“The best advice I can give to anyone going through a rough patch is to never be afraid to ask for help.”
― Demi Lovato, Stay Strong

In your early twenties, you are just out of college, with so much knowledge and feathers on your cap. Over time without our knowledge, ego fills in and we don’t feel we should be asking for help. We feel we can do things on our own.

Apart from ego there is this called embrassment . As kids we hardly had such feelings, maybe these were alien to us. But we assume that asking for help is embarrassing.

It is not. My friends in twenties, it is okay to ask for help, be it job, family or life. Ask, just ask , you never know how , when and where help can come from. But all you got to do is ask.

You ask for help when you are in despair and no other time, if you are going through a rough patch, talk and time and again tell yourself that ask for help isn’t a crime and you aren’t committing one.

We often fail to communicate, that being the most important thing. The A-Z of communication must have been taught in the school, I have begun to feel so. Asking for help to an extent fails because of lack of communication no matter what kind of extrovert you are.

And there is a patient ear and a non judgemental heart here always. So just don’t hesitate to ask for help or talk when you feel stuck. 🙂

And also as Dumbledore says, “Help will be given to those who ask for it. “
